A code 2 is one of the so-called particularity codes the BKR uses when registering a person's credit report. The 2 code behind a credit, means that the lender has claimed the credit with a late payment on it, all at once.
How does a BKR code 2 arise?
When you borrow money, it is registered by the BKR (Bureau Krediet Registratie). Such a registration is called a BKR registration.
This in itself need not be a bad thing. In fact, as long as you continue to meet your payment obligations nicely, this is all about a positive BKR registration.
It becomes a problem only when you fall behind in repaying the loan.
We then speak of a negative BKR registration.
Such negative registration leads to an A code. An "A" (arrears report) will then appear after the credit entry on your credit report. Such an A code can take several forms, A2 being one of them.
